PAVEing The Way
PAVE’s Path to Healthy Relationships (PTHR) is an educational activity and conversation based healthy relationships class for youth. PTHR participants build skills needed to change abusive dating norms, challenge rigid views of gender roles, improve conflict resolution, practice nonviolent communication, promote help-seeking by survivors and perpetrators, and change abusive behaviors. PAVE’s Social Emotional Learning Facilitations (SELF) allow participants to offer peer-to-peer support and address topics such as managing stress and anxiety, utilizing healthy communication techniques, handling shame and guilt responses, personal boundaries, etc. This presentation will feature shortened versions of PTHR and SELF.
