Impact of Societal Messaging on Survivors and Marginalized Communities

This interactive, 2-part presentation addresses the complex ways that media impacts our understanding of relationship and gender norms and negatively impacts survivors. This impacts the intersectionality of:  Gender  Race  Ablism  LGBTQ+ Community  Ageism  Domestic Violence In the second part of this workshop, participants will be given an opportunity to get into smaller groups to share thoughts, brainstorm ideas, and create an action plan based on a social-ecological model of prevention.
