Case Study: When Intimate Partner Violence Becomes Human Trafficking

My intention is to raise awareness by shining a light on an overlooked issue, the intersectionality of human trafficking and intimate partner violence. Customarily, organizations are often only identifying broad-range exploitive practices, and neglecting trafficking on the micro/personal level. Therefore, through the utilization of a case study, I intend to illustrate the fundamentals that transform intimate partner violence into human trafficking, while addressing the various and often intimate scales of modern-day slavery.
