Kristiana Huitron

Kristiana Huitrón, Coloradan Xicana, is the Executive Director of Voces Unidas for Justice, founded in 2010. She has been working to end domestic & sexual violence for 20-years in rural & urban settings, in both Spanish & English, with adults, adolescents, & children of all genders. Nationally with Red Wind Consulting, Inc. as editor of Creating Sister Space, & on SAFE and SART training across Indian Country; with Casa de Esperanza’s National Latin@ Network’s Research & Evaluation, co-authored the Finding a Way report; & known in her field as an innovator of Promotoras as advocates in the work to end violence. Locally, to Colorado Springs, she has been providing community-based programming for over a decade. Most recently Ms. Huitrón is commissioned to the Domestic Violence Offender Management Board (DVOMB) for the State, on the national board for the Resonance Network, & has been spearheading local research on un/underserved victims.
