Josh grew up in Rural Colorado, then served in the Marine Corps. after high school. He then came back to Colorado to study Sociology, Criminal Justice, and Psychology. Sociology lead Josh to discover Social Justices, he then truly learned about it while working at a DV/SA Community-Based advocacy organization. During his time as the Advocacy Coordinator for Project Hope in Gunnison, he provided advocacy to survivors, as well as, prevention and awareness trainings throughout the community and local university He also sat on CCASA's Inclusiveness Team which opened his eyes to an Anti-Oppression framework. Through all of this he developed a passion for speaking and training on Gender-Based Violence and Anti-Oppression, which lead him to now be the Training and Technical Assistance Coordinator for the Colorado Coalition Against Sexual Assault.
