Sarah VanVlerah

Sarah is a Victim Services and Volunteer Coordinator for The Sexual Assault Victim Advocate (SAVA) Center in Fort Collins, Colorado. She grew up in the Midwest, studied international relations and French in school, and worked in the brewing industry for nearly a decade before making her way into victim services. In addition to supporting clients and co-facilitating volunteer recruitment/training, she currently heads up the Raise The Bar Bystander Intervention Program at SAVA. She is able to draw on her background in the service industry and her experience as a sexual assault victim advocate to facilitate meaningful trainings with practical take-aways for service industry staff. She loves to play bass and sing with her friends at backyard get togethers and rarely ever passes up an opportunity to enjoy live music.
