Haleh Cochran

Haleh Cochran began her career as an advocate in the anti-sexual violence movement in 2008. Haleh has since served in many roles from Advocacy/SART coordinator and Deputy Director to Crime Victim Advocate at a Police Dept. She currently serves as the Systems Change Advocate at TAASA and specializes in providing training and technical assistance related to implementing trauma-informed approaches, developing sexual assault response teams, and providing advocacy and support to survivors. Haleh also participates as a subject matter expert in the Trauma- informed working group for the Statewide Sexual Assault Survivor’s Taskforce in Texas. She received her Bachelor’s degree in psychology from UT Dallas and is currently working towards her Master's in Multicultural Women’s and Gender Studies at TWU. Haleh recharges by cooking and spending time in the garden with her cats Kurt and Buddy.
