Meals 2023

There are just 41 days left until CAIA 2023! We can’t wait to see all of you on June 5, 6, and 7th!

This will be our first in-person conference since COVID-19 and a lot has changed since we last met. Our virtual conferences in 2020, 2021, and 2022 gave us the opportunity to offer expanded language access. We were able to offer every session with simultaneous ASL and Spanish interpretation. This is an expensive commitment, but we will continue to prioritize language justice in the years to come – whether we are in-person or online. In the last three years, the cost of food and lodging has gone up considerably and this will have a few small impacts on our 2023 schedule.

Long-time CAIA participants will remember that previous in-person conferences included breakfast and lunch. This year, to adjust to higher costs and to further language justice, while keeping registration fees low, we will provide lunch on Monday and Tuesday. Breakfast and dinner will be on your own. For those of you staying at the conference hotel, breakfast is included as part of your stay. For those of you who are commuting to CAIA each day, remember that DVP will reimburse all funded programs up to $5,000 for food, lodging, and travel costs as well as registration.

We appreciate your understanding as the conference evolves and as we work to move into closer alignment with our values of access and equity. If you have any questions, please reach out to us directly or to our conference coordinator, Marci Whitman (conference@coloradoadvocacy.org). Your feedback guides our work and shapes the conference each year – please let us know what questions or comments you have.

In Solidarity,
Roshan & Brie
