Tricky laws applicable to mothers who need to re-locate

This workshop will explain the laws that apply when survivors have recently moved to Colorado or intend to leave Colorado with children. These laws cover which state (or tribe) has jurisdiction and when/whether there may be criminal and civil liability under parental kidnapping statutes, as well as immigration consequences. The workshop will include the non-legal, in addition to the legal, considerations that should affect survivor decision-making.
