Biography

Diego Barrera

Diego Barrera is an activist and organizer from Northwest Arkansas. He co-founded inTRANSitive, a grassroots organization addressing the issues affecting Trans people in Northwest Arkansas. Diego has over four years of experience in direct victim services and has facilitated workshops on sexual violence and intimate partner violence in the lgbtq and the immigrant community. He also has over four years experience in immigration cases. Diego currently works for The Icarus Project, a support network and education project advancing social justice in and for the field of mental health. He also work as an organizer for Free Press organizing around media justice.
